India v Australia 2011-2012 Last time India were in Australia, it was a firework of a series with some controversies and plenty of high quality cricket. Aussies retained the Border-Gavaskar tests trophy but India went on to win the Commonwealth Bank tri-series. Cricket Australia scrapped 14 year long tradition of annual CB tri-series since then but now, with India returning, tri-series returns too, with Sri Lanka as the third team..

India's tour of Australia begins 18th December 2011 with a 3 day warm-up game against CA Chairman's XI at Manuka Oval in Canberra and then the first test match from 26th December = Boxing day, at Melbourne cricket ground. India play second test at Sydney from 3rd January 2012, third at Perth in Westen Australia from 13th January and fourth and final test at Adelaide Oval from 24th January in new year.

Fact : Coming onto this tour, India had not lost to Australia since that sad Sydney test 2008, winning 5 and drawing 3 matches since then!

India will play two twenty20 internationals against home team on 1st and 3rd February 2012 at Sydney and Melbourne before the tri-series begins on 5th February. It will be a 15 match one day series where each team plays other four times and then best of 3 finals, at Brisbane and Adelaide (Adelaide again if required).
