Tag IPL-2011

Rain ate up the match. It was a battle for which team finishes first in points table of IPL 2011, from behind. At the end, rain ended up as winner and hence Delhi Daredevils finished the poorest team of the season, with Pune Warriors just better in net run rate.

Electing to bat first, Delhi couldn't get going as Alfonso Thomas bowled very well with the new ball and then debutant Faulkner and young allrounder Mitchell Marsh sent down couple of fine overs back to back. 3 wickets down for 47 runs on board, rain halted play at the 11th over mark and got heavier as the evening went on and umpires called off the match, giving each team a point to share.

Both teams will now be expecting to come back better next season.
