Subramanian Badrinath. Pune Warriors were one of two new teams included from IPL 2011 and they surprized many by winning first two games but now, the reality seems to be sinking in as dark green team today lost their fourth consecutive game. Chennai Super Kings, defending champions, on other hand have had indifferent tournament so far but managed to win their second back to back game to reach second position in points table..

It was a low scoring non thrilling twenty20 match at DY Patil stadium in Mumbai where home team were asked to bat first on a hot afternoon and were soon reduced to 4 for 41 in the 8th over. Experienced duo of Robin Uthappa and Yuvraj Singh were left to do the rebuilding job and almost raised hopes of a target in excess of 150 runs but Uthappa's dismissal put the brakes back on once again. Captain Yuvraj kept on fighting till the end which meant Pune Warriors crossed 140 run mark.

Chasing their moderate target, Chennai knew the only way could mess up was to lose early wickets and hence openers Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay resorted to watchful begining, adding 19 runs between them from first five overs before Subramanian Badrinath came in and absorbed all the pressure around. Timing the ball perfectly and finding gaps through this classical shots, Badrinath scored 62 handsome runs and saw his team home with 3 balls and 4 wickets to spare.

Doug Bollinger was named man of the match for his superb bowling figures.
