UP vs Sialkot - a four day match may not seem too attractive to many
people by by the time you finish this article, you will be finding DD1.
 The Match facts :- UP or Uttar Pradesh and Sialkot are the winners of domestic championships of India and Pakistan respectively and they will be playing a four day match, from 27th of September - Wednesday to 31st of September at Dharamshala - the newly made cricket ground at one of the most beautiful places in India, Himachal Pradesh. This will be the second time that national champions of India and Pakistan will be playing a match against each other so there was no fixed name for it. Now it has been named as "Mohammad Nissar Trophy", which will be played between the winner of Ranji Trophy (India's national championship) and Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (Pakistan's national championship) every year from now on. Some history :- Back in 1991, a Javed-Miandad-led team of Habib Bank, the domestic one-day winners of Pakistan, had travelled to India and played a one-dayer at Delhi against a Mohammad Azharuddin-led Wills XI, the then domestic ODI champs of India. Aamir Sohail announced his arrival to the cricket world by scoring 121 in that game, a knock which was overshadowed by a brilliant 89 off the bat of Vinod Kambli. For the record, Sachin Tendulkar too played in that match, but was bowled out cheaply by Ijaz Ahmed. The game was witnessed by a packed crowd. while Sialkot team will be having players like Mohammad Asif, Shoaib
Mallik (who is married to an India Hyderabadi girl) and Sialkot captain Imran Nazir - the former Pakistani right

Sialkot team members :- Imran Nazir (captain), Shoaib Malik, Majeed Jehangir, Muhammad Asif, Abiq-ur-rehman, Hafiz Khalid Mehmood, Abdul Rehman Aslam, Mansoor Amzad, Shahid Yousaf, Sarfraz Ahmed, Tahir Mughal, Shazad Malik, Inam-ul-haq. The Pitch and weather report :- The weather report for one of the most famous hill stations of India - Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh is very good for coming four days.... well as far as cricket is concerned and about the pitch at Dharamsala - it looks green and might offer assistance to the seam bowlers. Having said that, both the teams have some very good International bowlers in their ranks to the match is expected to be no less than a virtually India vs Pakistan test match. The match timing and live telecast :- This four day Uttar Pradesh vs Sialkot match will be starting at 9.30 am IST and you can watch it live on Doordarshan - the national channel of India. Doordarshan made it clear that they will be telecasting this battle of national champions way back on 19th of this month.
