My title may be tough to understand but read the article and you will understand it completely..
There has been a history of Challenger's trophy being played between India Senior (which mostly comprise with present Indian cricketers), India A and India B - which are comprised of cricketers who are either trying to make a comeback into the national team or are promising youngsters.
The fact of the matter is Indian team is going on a lot of changed these days like domestic matches being telecasted live to our homes (the list), twenty20 coming to India and "Dravid Chappell" combination giving chance after chance to young players whereas not too long ago, players like Javagal Srinath were forced to come back into the national team after retirement.
Another of such change is in the names. Ranji Trophy now will be called as "Super league for the Ranji trophy" while the Inter-state One day knock-out tournament will be called as "Premier Cup". Deodhar trophy, which is played between the five zones of our country - East, West, North, South and Central will be called as "Star series of the Deodhar Trophy".
Similarly, the Challenger's trophy has been renamed as "Challenger series for the NKP Salve Trophy", which will be played at Chennai from 1st of October 2006. The names of the teams have also been changed to India Blue, India Red and India Green. India Blue will be captained by Rahul Dravid, India Red by Venugopal Rao and India Green by Mohammad Kaif.
The interesting point is that when I wrote the article "here's a chance for Ganguly", none of my reader thought I may be correct.Soumik even went on to say that I don't know politics and that's why I am still confident about Ganguly's return.... but what he didn't understood that I am not a blind supporter of Sourav Ganguly but I have been watching cricket for 15 years now. And I have seen so people make come back and Ganguly will have his chances....
I predicted he won't be included into ICC Champions trophy, which he didn't and also said he will be there for Challenger's trophy, which he is.... Lets see how much more I am correct.
The teams :-

The schedule :
1st October : India Blue vs India Red,
2nd October : India Blue vs India Green,
3rd October : India Red vs India Green,
4th October : The final.
The live telecast : The news is that the sports channel of Nimbus - Neo sports as it will be called, will be launched on 1st of October itself and will start its process with the live telecast of the match between India Blue and India Red that day. These all above matches are scheduled to be Day/Night matches and will be starting at India time - 1420.
This will be the first time that a channel of Nimbus will be telecasting something but to tell you a important aspect of live telecasts, its not the channel who produce the pictures... its the production team and that's what Nimbus has been for so many years... so when you expect Nimbus to telecast NKP Salve Challenger's trophy from 1st of October at Chennai and many more ODI's and test matches which will be played in India from now on... expect good telecast.
