As human beings, we experience many facets of life. cricketers do a couple more, both highest highs and lowest lows..Gautam Gambhir was best test batsman lasy year before he skipped a test match to attend his sister's wedding. Coming back, his bat had quitened down and then a freak knee injury ate up another fortnight. Now, Gambhir was at razor's edge to save his international career during New Zealand test series or go back to domestic cricket where he spent many frustrating years. Gambhir made a half century in second test, miss century in 3rd but that was hint enough for 5 wise men aka selectors to detect their opening southpaw was finding his form again. Gambhir was named captain for first two ODI against New Zealand out of the blue and he passed the test with flying colours, scoring a century in yesterday's second ODI at Sawai mansingh stadium in Jaipur, helping his team chase down tricky total of 259 with 8 wickets in hand and 7 overs unused. S Sreesanth was the match breaker for home team with his 4 wickets while in-form Virat Kohli played well too, scoring a fifty to follow his century in previous match. As many as 4 batsmen hit sixes in New Zealand innings but none of them continued enough to challenge Indian bowlers. An easy win for Indians it was. here's the scorecard :-
