You and I make the difference..Filed under
Cricket
So many times we hear that BCCI is the richest, richer than Real Madrid and other very famous football clubs.. do you know who makes them this.........YES, THATS YOU AND ME!!
India may not be the biggest market for many many things, but for cricket, it is. Today if we all Indians stop watching and following cricket, whole thing will come down.. believe me, just how many countries play the game... its football all the way!! But still we are the ones who are made fools. Here's an example - When our Indian team played in Zimbabwe.. the series that changed Ganguly's fate, they showed it on StarSports. When they came back home and played Onedayers with Srilanka and South Africa, it was on DOORDARSHAN...and DD Sprots. But when the Test Matches came.. it was Zee Sports and Doordarshan that got the telecast rights, but not DD Sports... How come??If you go little more back, you will find SONY telecasting the 2003-World Cup. I mean so many channels and just one game. How can we be sure which channel to have so that we can have cricket at home. Sometimes Cable Operators block the a perticular channel and simplely take his hands away. They have monopoly at nearly every residential area in our country. And now DishTV and DDdirect has come. Well, you can't expect anything made by Doordarshan but DishTV is little better. They provide Espn and StarSports and also ZeeSports.. but there's more to come - There's a channel called TenSports. The same one that provided us the pictures when last time Our team was in Pakistan, even Doordarshan had the same pictures... also the TenSports LOGO!! Anyways, life is about moving on, and doing so, Tensports again have the rights this time around. And I'll advice you not to bank on Doordarshan to show the matches to you.. they are very unreliable. So if you are seriously looking forward to cheering for TEAM INDIA, go and get TenSports. They also have the television rights for the West Indies tour, in May-June. Related ArticlesCricket
