Sri Lanka innings : couldn't get going against good new ball bowling by Pakistani fast bowlers, specially Shoaib Akhtar who took the first wicket of the match and then returned to claim 2 more after good 3rd wicket partnership between Sangakkara and Jayawardene, making remarkable comeback after 13 months. home team failed to compile partnerships and struggled their way to 242, thanks to half century from Angelo Mathews.
Pakistan chase : was down and nearly out untill captain Shahid Afridi walked into the park, counter attacked and scored a 69 ball century. Struggling with cramps, Afridi was finally out to a great catch by Kumar Sangakkara and then onwards, Lasith Malinga ate up the tail to win the game for home team.
