15 February 2009 : Australians, at home, were defending healthy total of 150 but Brendon McCullum's 47 ball 61 and 26 ball 36 by Neil Broom pushed Kiwis angonising close to victory banks. 14 runs were required off the last over, bowled by Nathan Bracken, and result came out as wicket, 1 leg bye, 1 leg bye, no run, four and then a six.. New Zealand lost the game by 1 run. we'e had seven games with just 1 run margin so far in international T20s.
9 June 2009 : South Africans were against New Zealand in this group match of second T20 world cup and Proteas could manage only 128 after being asked to bat first. Brendon McCullum, opening the innings, made 6 fours punchuated 57 off 54 balls but Roelof van der Merwe's 4 overs conceeded only 14 runs and took 2 crucial wickets to keep green team ahead of blackcaps.. 15 runs were required off the last over which turned out as 1 run, 2 runs, 2 runs, 2 runs, four and 2 runs.. and hence, New Zealand suffered their second 1 run loss in T20 matches.
12 January 2011 : Having secured the Ashes, England were on a high and they pulled off skin off Aussie teeth once again in this 1st T20 at Adelaide. Electing to bat first, Aussies were cut short to moderate 157/4 despite accelerating 83 run opening stand between Shane Watson and David Warner, off just 8.4 overs. English chase didn't go smoothly but they kept upto the run rate, specially thanks to Eoin Morgan and later Chris Woakes who hit the winning runs on debut. So far, we've had only one other 1 wicket margin in T20s, between Netherlands and Bangladesh.
