Points table of T20 world cup 2010 : Which team qualifies further?
Following is the points table of Twenty20 world cup 2010 tournament in West Indies and top two teams from each of four group will qualify for the super 8s stage out of which, top two from each will meet in cross semifinals and then final.Note : Each match match a reserve day, and games will commence where it stopped previous day. in case of a tied game, Super over rule will be employed to find the winner. Fixtures : World T20 2010. There're some specifications if two team standings finish with equal number of wins as well as points. they are :- *Team with most wins, qualify. *If wins equal, team with most points, qualify. *If wins & points equal, team with higher net-runrate qualifies. *If net run rate equal, team with higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in group stage or only in super 8s round, will qualify. *If still equal, which team that won head to head will qualify. *If still equal, drawing lots will decide.
How net run rate is calculatedNet runrate in above points table of T20 world cup 2010 is the average runs scored per over throughout the relevant portion of the tournament = runs scored divided by overs played. Even in case a team is bowled out in less than it's full quota of overs, calculation of net run rate is done by total runs scored divided by full quota of overs of that innings. In case of a rain abandoned/shorterned matches, net run rate will be calculated to the team's par score according to Duck-Worth Lewis method.Related Articles |
