Result : Australia won by 2 runs.

Head to head : 3rd Pakistan v Australia t20 match it was.. Australia now have have 1 against Pakistan and lost twice.. interestingly with today's win, Australia kept their record intact of not being beaten at home in T20 games.. 8 played and all won!

Australia innings : started pretty well after captain Michael Clarke elected to bat first. Fair bit of rain around Melbourne today and Pitch turned out to be rock hard on which Aussie opener David Warner unleashed some good shots and then Clarke chipped spinners well but suddenly, one Shoaib Mallik over changed everything and Aussie batters couldn't find a baundary for 37 balls straight.. Wickets continued trumbling with David Hussey fighting the lone battle and remaining unbeaten as top scorer..

Pakistan chase : started against one of the fastest over of recent times, bowled by Shaun Tait who reached upto 160.7 kmph (3rd fastest ever) but Kamran Akmal's counter attacking innings kept visitors in hunt for their first win on last game of this tour. Tait claimed Kamran coming back in second spell but his brother, Umar Akmal, continued to fight on before Mitchell Johnson bowled a maiden over (17th) and then Dirk Nannes gave away only 2 runs in 19th overs which left 10 off last over to be made.. Pakistani last pair were left 2 runs short.
