Note : Following is an old article on itsonlycricket, updated according to upcoming India's tour of West Indies in June-July 2009.
From a cricket fan's perspective (who are supposed to be the ones to make cricket so  Why isn't there a single channel, that does the live telecast of all
the cricket matches that India plays. Or any country rather..!!Wouldn't that solve the problem for cricket fans like you and me. When Indian team plays in Australia - Espn shows the matches. When they play in India - Neo sports shows the matches while when a neutral venue like Abu Dhabi comes in - Zeesports becomes the most wanted channel. From a cricket fan's perspective (who are supposed to be the ones to make cricket so much wanted), it creates lots of confusion. And many times means no cricket, as "that" channel may not reach yout territory. Its a situation by the people, for the people and its very unlikely to change. Every broadcasting company need their slice, which leaves cricket fans with only one option :- read following research we're done in following on live telecast of India vs West Indies series in June-July 2009 In India : Tensports will show India vs West Indies live on television. Tensports is the official broadcaster of West Indies cricket board, and will be distributing live feeds to various other sports channels around the world. Tensports also reaches Bangladesh, Nepal, Europe, Middle East, Japan, Hong Kong in China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Maldives. Doordarshan : the national, goverment run and hence, free to air TV channel, will also show these matches live. In UK and New Zealand : I know many people from my country have shifted to England and other such places, but haven't lost the love for the game of cricket. For you, the channel is Sky Sports. Africa : continent, and countries like South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya and neighbours can watch India-west indies cricket live on channel super sport. Australia : will have foxsports showing this cricket series but only the hightlights show of two hours.. no live telecast. Update : Following article was updated on 25 June 2009.
