Why isn't there a single channel, that does the live telecast of all the cricket matches that India plays. Or any country rather..!!

Wouldn't that solve the problem for cricket fans like you and me. When Indian team plays in Australia - Espn shows the matches. When they play in India - Doordarshan shows the matches while when a neutral venue like Abu Dhabi comes in - Zeesports becomes the most wanted channel. From a cricket fan's perspective (who are supposed to be the ones who make cricket so much wanted), it creates lots of confusion. And many times means no cricket, as "that" channel doesn't comes in ones' TV.

Its a situation by the people, for the people and its very unlikely to change. So the option you have is to read what I have to tell you about the live telecast of India vs West Indies series in May to July 2006 and find "that channel"....

In India - Its Tensports. And only tensports. The channel that had the telecast rights of India vs Pakistan series and had to share the feeds with Doordarshan for the one dayers later. But this, Indian team will be in West Indies and our government don't have any say in that. At least in Live telecast of cricket matches.

Tensports decided to join hands with Dish Tv this April but they haven't included many local cable operators in India. So I suggest you find your method by 18th May, when India plays their first ODI against West Indies at Jamaica.

For Indian cricket fans in Hong Kong, Middle East, Pakistan, Srilanka and near by places - The channel for India's tour of West Indies will still be Tensports. But the timing will change a little. When matches will start at 2000hrs India time, it will be 1830hrs in Middle East and hong Kong and 2030 in Srilanka and Pakistan.

In UK and New Zealand - I know many people from my country have shifted to England and other such places, but haven't lost the love for the game of cricket. For you, the channel is Sky Sports. Sky Sports 2 to be precise and your timing will be 1530hrs. Let me also include the detailed schedule of India's tour of West Indies on skysports for you.

United States of America - Finding channel for Indian cricket fans in US to watch India vs West Indies series was not easy. It took sever

al hours of Internet searching, some minutes of "cool mind thinking" and then writing a honest mail to RJ that I am able to find the answer for you. According to RJ, an avid cricket blogger, now in US has told me that Irrespective of which broadcaster will be awarded the telecast rights for showing matches against West Indies at that part of World, it probably will end up on Echostar - Dish Network. He also informs me that one can watch live India vs West Indies series on Internet on WillowTv and other websites. RJ finds rates for both these mode of live cricket are "ridiculous and exorbitant", but I am nor sure you have many choices!!
