South Africa test squad for 2 match series in India, February 2010.

Johan Botha has played 2 tests for South Africa, but has had a troubled international career for his doubtful bowling action. South Africa squad that came from back to draw the series and hence retain Basil D'Oliviera trophy against England at home last month, have made one significant change to their test squad to tour India = Johan Botha recalled. Note that Botha, an off-spinner who has also captained South Africa in one day internationals (and played 2 tests as well), has been on trail for illeagal bowling action (speciall his 'doosra' delivery) on more than one occassion but selectors have given him another chance on this Indian series.

Fixtures : South Africa in India 2010.

Ryan McLaren, the right arm medium pace allrounder and Wayne Parnell, the 20 year old left arm swing bowler, made their test debut collectively in South Africa's last test at Johannesburg and will make their first trip to India this february 2010.

Alviro Petersen, the right handed sensible middle order batsman known to play according to situation, also finds a place in 15 member South Africa squad and is tipped to be backup for Ashwell Prince as well who had been opening for Proteas for some time now without much success.

Record holder for most test dismissals, Mark Boucher, is the main wicket keeper of the side after won man of the series award recently. This means AB de Villiers will continue to play as a middle order batsman, something he did utterly well on his last visit to India, scoring a double century.

Jacques Kallis, fit to bowl and bat like only he can, will play his usual role of shephered for visitors and form a strong middle order for South African test team with Hashim Amla and JP Duminy. Duminy in perticular will be looking for some runs in India as he had a dry patch against England, although he did pick up some crucial wickets bowling his off-spinners.

Graeme Smith, the left handed opening batsman, is the captain of South Africa this test series in India. Smith also lead South Africans on last tour of India, which visitors shared 1-1.

Dale Steyn ~ the right arm slippery pacer who's currently ranked one in ICC bowlers rankings, with lanky Morne Morkel, will share the new ball while Lonwabo Tsotsobe, another tall quicky but a left armer, will be in reserves. Paul Harris, a left arm spinner, is other spin option for coach Mickey Arthur and his boys.
