Whether it is Dravid-Chappell effect, or the enthusiasm of youngsters or may be the absense of Sourav Ganguly - but the matter of fact is that Indian team has won 8 consecutive one day matches and it pops up the question - Is this the best winning patch that our Indian team has ever achieved??

Well the answer is no. Indian cricket team has won 8 ODI's in a row two times before as well. First it was under the captainship of Sunil Gawaskar when India won 8 consecutive one day Internationals - from 20th Feb, 1985 25th August, 1985. Then it was Sourav Ganguly, who led India to 8 consecutive wins from 19th Feb 2003 to 20th March 2003. Now its Rahul Dravid who have achieved this feat for India and the best thing about it is that its still counting. And the way we are dominating England in the current one day series, this record may well be broken in the 5th ODI at Guwahati.

In the list of most wins in one day Internationals without losing, or most consecutive wins in ODI - India stands at 18th position right now, headed by Australia who 21 consecutive ODI matches in 2003, which also included the World Cup. But if India can manage to win the 9th consecutive ODI at Guwahati, they will zoom to 11th position in this list. And a win at Jamshedpur - the home ground of Mahendra Singh Dhoni will take India straight to 4th position in all time greatest ODI winning sequences...
