Sharjah is where most number of India vs Pakistan one day cricket matches have been played. and not surprisingly, Indian teams of past have made several of their lowest totals at the venue.
Toronto was the venue for Sahara cup for two consecutive years where Pakistan struggled big time.. three of Pakistan's 7 lowest totals against India came at the venue.
But Sialkot, the venue where only the second India vs Pakistan one day international was played, saw the smallest score made, by India = 79. Played at the Jinnah stadium, Pakistan captain Mushtaq Mohammad invited India in to bat first which had heroes like Sunil Gawaskar (4), Dilip Vengsarkar (3), Gundappa Vishwanath (0) and Kapil Dev (5). Only Mohinder Amarnath showed some resistance, remained unbeaten on 34 while Hasan Jamil (3/18), Sikander Bakht (2/11) and Saleem Altaf (2/7) finished Indian innings inside 34.2 overs.. Pakistan won the game by 8 wickets, with 139 balls remaining!
Pakistan's lowest one day score against India came at their happiest hunting ground = Sharjah = 87, and it was a thriller of a match. Imran Khan's 6 wickets for just 14 runs in 10 overs finished Indians for only 125 runs but Pakistani batsman failed to chased that down. captain and new ball bowler, Kapil Dev, got 3 wickets while leg spinner L Shivramakrishnan and left arm spinner Ravi Shastri shared 2 wickets each to finish Pakistan for only 87 runs and won the game for India by 38 runs.
