Saeed Anwar's 194 is the highest score in one day internationals between

India and Pakistan. We all remember Saeed Anwar's 194 at Chennai.. it's still the highest score in one day international by batsman of any country.

If you notice, Anwar's effort is also the highest by a Pakistani batter in India. Question is vice-versa = which Indian batsman holds best ODI score in and against Pakistan? any guess? yes, Sachin Tendulkar. 141 at Rawalpindi.

MS Dhoni first made a name for himself with his 148 at Vizag aka Vishakhapatnam while Shoaib Mallik's 143 is the highest in ODIs between India and Pakistan at a neutral ground.

Sourav Ganguly's 141 off 144 at Adelaide, is the first of very few innings in following list which are less than run a ball, although, Ganguly's effort that day South Australia venue won the game for his country.

Another innings that begs for a mention is Ijaz Ahmed's 139 at Lahore. It was the first time Indian team had traveled to Pakistan in a while after a friendly 5 ODI series "Sahara cup" in Toronto. Indians batted first, set a fighting target of 216 after being 5 wicket down for 77 runs, thanks to Ajay Jadeja's 76 and Rajesh Chauhan's two sixes punchuated 32 off 32. but Ijaz Ahmed had other ideas. 9 towering sixes, 10 killer fours under lights, Ijaz's innings won the game for Pakistan with 22.4 overs and 9 wickets in hand! Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar admited his team needed at least 400 runs to defend against such hurricane innings from Ahmed. That was probably the first time 400 runs were even thought about in one day international cricket.
