1) Pakistan's big hitter - Shahid Afridi is out of the remaining two one day internationals because of the rib injury. Pakistan is yet to decide on his replacement, but they have confirmed that Mohammad Sami will take Shaoib Akhtar's place in the team. It must be noted that Pakistan lost the second ODI(see score card) and also the third ODI(see score card) and are now struggling to make a winning combination.

From Indian side, Virendra Shewag and Harbjahan Singh will be returning home with just two ODI remaining. Indian selector - Kiron more cleared that there will be no replacement for the above two players for the 4th ODI at Multan on 16th of February and 5th ODI at Karachi on 19th of february.
