Bill Ponsford and Don Bradman hold the record for highest partnership in Ashes test match.

It takes two to tango. no cricketer can win a game for his team unless someone partners him.

Sometimes, partners click so well that they break records. Test cricket is the toughest test and Australia vs England, the Ashes test series, the oldest. Hence, the elite pair of batsmen who have collaborated together to register their name in following list of highest partnerships in Ashes test match, need an applaude.

Geoff Marsh, the wicket keeper and Mark Taylor, only in his 3rd test match, put together an unbeliveable 329 runs for the opening wicket at Trent Bridge ground in Nottingham which still stands the biggest opening partnership in Australia vs England test cricket.

451 is the highest Ashes test partnership for any wicket, put on by Don Bradman and William Ponsford at Kennington Oval in london back in 1934. Donald Bradman made century that day, in association with another century from Ponsford and they still hold the honourable record after almost 75 years!
