Sri Lanka shine, fade and rise again to beat Pakistan at the end.


Players stood alternatively today cause this was the first match between the two countries which were involved in terrorist attack on Sri lankan cricket team at Lahore 2 months ago. There's a big difference between 1 and 0 against a batsman's name when he begins his innings. Sohail Tanvir, who sent down a jaffa first up, bowled a foot no ball next to allow Tillakaratane Dilshan to get off the mark.. Dilshan missed. Tanvir didn't like it and bowled another foot no ball! in all, Sohail Tanvir's first over of the match read = 0 0nb 0wd 0 0wd 0nb 4 1 0wd 4 4 = 18 runs!

That didn't end there.. Brave captain Younus Khan allowed his left arm seamer to bowl another over. Tanvir bowled 20 deliveries to finish his first two overs. Those two rubbish overs from Tanvir set the tone for express Sri Lankan start who got up to 65 runs in power plays (first 6 overs).

Shahid Afridi, who had been Pakistan saving grave in bowling department for couple of months now, did the job again today with his 2 wickets. Sri Lankan batting started to slip and Umar Gul made sure his team were not chasing a too bigger total.
