Ind v Bdesh - T20 WC - 6 June 09
If warm-up games were any sort of indications, Bangaldesh team enjoy playing T20 cricket more than tests or one dayers. A young and improving team with good bowling and fielding aspects, Bangladesh's only reason to lose lot more games than they should have, is not batting their full quota of overs.T20 cricket or 20 over per side cricket match gives Bangladeshi batters a sense of freeness that their team won't be bowled out. Captain Mohammad Asharful, openers Tamim Iqbal and Junaid Siddique and middle order all rounder Shakib Al Hasan have shown glimpses of attractive shots during practice games against Australians and Sri Lankans. Rubel Hasan, a right arm slinging fast bowler has also impressed with his above 145kmph speed (and well disguised slower balls) and little bit of reserve swing later on in the innings. Abdur Razzak, back after correcting his bowling action, is another trump card in Bangladeshi captain's arsenal. Razzak bowls slow left arm spin but is mighty accurate. Indians, on other hand, are the defending champions of T20 tournament but they'll remember the fact that same opposition sent them home from 2007 Caribbean world cup. Twenty20 matches change very quickly and mighty Indians won't want to take Bangla team lightly. specially after Holland's surprising win over hosts England on the opening day of this 17 day tournament. Two Sharmas, Rohit and Ishant, have shown some form in the warm-up games against New Zealand (which India lost by 9 runs) and against arch rivals Pakistan (which India won by 9 wickets). Weather Report : for Trent Bridge ground, which is in Nottingham in UK, says heavy rain the morning but clearing up towards the evening and should be clear white clowd when the this India vs Bangladesh match is scheduled to start at 6pm local time.
