1) New Zealand has announced their cricket squad to play against the west Indies in the up coming 5 one day series. This team, will be for the first two matches and also for the Twenty20 match that they play on Thrusday. This team also contains Chris Cairns who recently retired from International cricket and it will mark as the farewell match for him.

The team - Stephen Fleming (captain), Jamie How, Lou Vincent, Peter Fulton, Hamish Marshall, Nathan Astle, Scott Styris, Brendon McCullum, Chris Cairns, Daniel Vettori, James Franklin, Jeetan Patel, Shane Bond, Michael Mason.

2) Production rights of cricket matches and Telecast Right of cricket matches are two very different matters. The former if about generating the pictures and the other is about telecasting it to certain parts of the world. For example, the current ODI senewsreader1.jpgries, and also the Test series in Pakistan that our Indian team played, had the pictures produced by "ARY Digital" and Tensports had the telecast rights to show them in India.

3) Javagal Srinath, the former Indian fast bowling spearhead, has been named in the three member "Bowling Action Advisory Panel" to identify the bowlers in currently on going under-19 world cup in Srilanka. This is a try to indentify the suspected bowling action at the right time so that the bowler doesn't get too habituated with the wrong bowling action and graduate into international cricket and face panelties.

4) Although there were news that ICC has warned Indian Coach Greg Chappell over his comments on Shoaib Akhtar's bowling action, ICC cleared that there was no such statement from them about Chappell. Here is more to this story of words..
