1) The Madras High Court has
restrained the Bharti Tele-Ventures Limited, Delhi, BSNL, Delhi, RIL,
Mumbai, TRAI, Delhi and 16 other mobile phone companies from
disseminating any information relating to scores, alerts, updates or
other events or
happenings of the ODIs between India and Pakistan via
short message service (SMS) technology on wireless and mobile phones. The problem is that a company called "Marksman Marketing Services Private Limited" had bought the exclusive rights for this on 3rd of february and all the above mentioned mobile companies are violating it..Here is more to it. 2) South African off spinner Johan Botha has been suspended from bowling in international cricket after his bowling action was deemed to be illigal. Professor Bruce Elliot, who was analyzing Johan Botha's action has said that he bends his arm more than "allowed" 15 % as he bowls his doosra. Doosra is a delivery bowled by a off spinner which goes away from a right handed batsmen after pitching - opposite to a off spining delivery that comes in to a right handed batsmen. The Australian team is - Ricky Ponting (C), Adam Gilchrist (VC), Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark, Michael Clarke, Brett Dorey, Brad Hogg, James Hopes, Michael Hussey, Simon Katich, Brett Lee, Michael Lewis, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds. 7) India's fastest bowler - VRV Singh, who can easily scare his opponents with his speed of about 145 km/hr, is fully fit and is back to domestic cricket.
