1) The under 19 cricket World Cup began today. There are 16 teams in all and there will be 44 matches. To tell you a little history, Australia won the first ever under 19 world cup, which was played in Australia only. Then it was England winning the under-19 world cup in south Africa after a gap of 10 years. Then it was in Srilanka which was won by India and then it was Australia again and in the last one, it was Pakistan. Here is more to the history of under - 19 world cup.

2) Australians win nearly every match they play, and every time, someone takes the credit. But one man has been common since the Australians became the World Champions and continue to be, is coach John Buchanan. He has said that he will be retiring after the coming World Cup in Carribean. 3) The first one day match between Indian and Pakistan at Peshawar is a sell out. It must be noted that first test at Lahore was having no spectator.
