Yesterday Pakistan selected their team for the first 3 one day Internationals against India, starting 6th of February. Although Injamam is yet to recover completely from his back injury, he is in the team and will be playing if the team needs him. Injamam has called for not playing the matches where he can sit our and blood some young players.
![]() Batsmen - Injamam-ul-Haq(captain), Younis Khan(vice-captain), Mohammad Yousuf, Salman Butt, Imran Farhat, Faisal Iqbal, All Rounders - Abdul Razzq, Shoaib Mallik, Shahid Afridi, Yasir Arafat, Kamran Akmal(Wicket-keeper), Seamers - ![]() Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammad Asif, Umar Gul, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Spinner - Arshad Khan. If we look at the team little more carefully, it has 5 all rounders, including the wicket keeper Kamran Akmal. And most of them will be playing in the final eleven, which is a good sign for Pakistan. All rounders are a must for the ODI matches, but they have selected just one Spinner - Arshad Khan. The lanky off-spinner is been asked to rejoin his job as a bank official otherwise he will face disciplinary action. I wonder he is selected. Another important inclusion is Yasir Arafat - the all rounder. He played against England in December and was quite impressive. Here is more about him. The ODI schedule. Related ArticlesArticle
