Vs Australia, at Hamilton, in March 2010. McCullum made 5 and 51 as Kiwis fell to 2-0 series defeat. Brendon made his test debut against South Africa in 2004 and scored an impressive half century in his first test innings. A stroke player by nature MecCullum came of age in the longest format of the game in the 2009-10 season by scoring three centuries and averaging nearly fifty in that season. MecCullum with his experience and batting ability is a vital component of New Zealand's middle order. |

He is a dangerous limited overs cricketer and one of the most feared opening batsman in the world at the moment. MecCullum scored his maiden ton an amazing 166 against Ireland, 6 years after making his debut. He also played a crucial role in a series just before the 2007 world cup against Australia in which New Zealand shocked the world by giving the mighty aussies a whitewash! |

He is simply the best in the slam bang format of the games. His knock of 158* of just 73 balls against Australia which included 13 sixes and 10 fours is the highest score by an individual in a t20 game! He also holds some credit in the success of the ipl as he gave the tournamengt a block buster beginnings by scoring a brilliant century in the first game of the first ipl! |
