Benn made his test debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. He got three wickets in the second innings including the all important wicket of Jayawardene who is a master at playing spin. Benn's top performance came against England in 2009, where he picked up 8 wickets in the first test. Arguably the tallest spinner to ever play the game, Benn uses his height as an advantage to extract some bounce out of the wickets.

Benn made his odi debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. Benn is an economical bowler in this format and doesn't give away much runs. He has been performing consistently for West Indies and is currently their most reliable spinner. Benn is also quite good lower order batsman.

Benn made his t20 debut against Australia in 2008. His breakthrough performance in this format came in early 2010 when he bagged 4-6 against Zimbabwe. Benn bowls economically and has a knack of picking up wickets.
