Franklin made his test debut in 2001 against Pakistan. He announced himself on the big stage by taking a hat-trick against Bangladesh in 2004. He is swing bowler who depends on line and length and swing rather than pace to get wickets. Franklin is also a capable lower order batsman; he scored his maiden test ton against South Africa in 2006. |

James made his odi debut against Zimbabwe in 2001 as a 20 year old. Franklin got a wicket of his very first ball which was also the first ball of the match in the 2007 world cup opener against England, becoming the first player to do so on a world cup debut. He lost his place during 2002-03 due to inconsistent performances but came back in 2004 and in a series against England the same year he took 5-42to show he belonged here! |

James made his t20 debut against West Indies in 2006. His all-round skills make him a fine t20 cricketer. He is not one of those who will win you games siglehandedly, but he can be involved in match winning partnerships. He was picked by the Mumbai Indians in the ipl 4 auctions. |
