Ball strikes the pad, fielding team appeals, umpire says no or yes and decision is sent to TV umpire. Now, first he confirms it was a front foot no ball and then, then where the ball pitched. If at least half of ball pitched outside leg stump, it can't be out. if more than half in line of leg stump or outside offstump, then it is checked where the ball hit the batsman's pad. if in line of stumps and that hawk eye pridiction says ball was crashing into the stumps, that's out. if not, batsman stays.
