Ask a cricket question
Which team has made most times over 300 hundred runs in one day cricket?
This is an interesting question. I remember in days of Adam Gilchrist and Mathew Hayden, Aussies used to target 300 runs whenever they batted first in an ODI and often achieved them no matter what the pitch conditions but in last one decade, Indian batsmen have imposed themselves on almost all teams and these are the two teams who've made more than run a ball totals in one day internationals the most number of times. Surprizingly, Aussies lost when they made their biggest total (434/4) while Indians escaped by just 2 runs (414/7) when they did their best effort! here's your list..
India = 76 times, 61 wins, 14 loss, 1 tie. highest = 414/7.
Australia = 73 times, 66 wins, 6 loss, 0 tie. highest = 434/4.
Pakistan = 55 times, 47 wins, 8 loss, 0 tie. highest = 385/7.
South Africa = 52 times, 46 wins, 6 loss, 0 tie. highest = 438/9.
Sri Lanka = 46 times, 38 wins, 8 loss, 0 tie. highest = 443/9.
New Zealand = 36 times, 29 wins, 6 loss, 1 tie. highest = 402/2.
West Indies = 29 times, 21 wins, 8 loss, 0 tie. highest = 360/4.
England = 28 times, 18 wins, 8 loss, 2 ties. highest = 363/7.
Zimbabwe = 20 times, 17 wins, 3 loss, 0 tie. highest = 351/7.
Ireland = 6 times, 4 wins, 2 loss, 0 tie. highest = 325/8.
Bangladesh = 4 times, 4 wins, 0 loss, 0 tie. highest = 320/8.
List updated upto October 2013.
