The record of most boundaries (fours) by a batsman in a test match innings is held by John Edrich of England who made Kiwis fetch the ball 52 runs from the boundary along side 5 sixes he also hit during his triple century. But, that was almost 5 decades ago. In recent times, in 2006, Virender Sehwag scored a double century against Pakistan in which he hit 47 of them besides a six. here's a list..
